About

Raymond P. Fisk is Founder and President of ServCollab. He is also Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Marketing at Texas State University. He is one of the pioneering founders of the service research field that emerged during the 1980s. He has published in the Journal of Service Research, Journal of Service Management, Journal of Service Marketing, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, and others. He has published six books, including Serving Customers: Global Services Marketing Perspectives. In 1993, he founded the AMA Services Marketing Special Interest Group (SERVSIG). In 2005, he received the Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award from SERVSIG. In 2012, he received the Grönroos Service Research Award from the Hanken School of Economics in Finland. In 2016, the American Marketing Association made Ray the Inaugural Recipient of the SIG Leadership Award. IN 2020, he received the Steve Baron Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Service Community from the Journal of Services Marketing. In 2023, he was named an ISSIP (The International Society of Service Innovation Professionals) Fellow – “ISSIP Fellows are viewed as role models of lifetime career achievements that have advanced our understanding and practice of service innovation in significant ways, while also growing the community.”
