Privacy

We collect as little as we can and never sell personal data.

What we store

• Your account email and password hash; an optional display name and paper-doll avatar.
• Verification records: the campus email domain you verified and enrollment claims (course, term and the class details you entered). Class details are used only to compare with classmates and are never shown publicly.
• A hashed signal of your network and browser to detect abuse — never your raw IP address.

What is public

• Reviews you publish (anonymous unless you choose to sign them), stories, and wiki additions with your stated relation.
• Scholar profiles are built from public academic data (OpenAlex, ORCID, Wikidata, DBLP, ROR, NSF, NIH) and community contributions with sources.

Your choices

• Edit or delete your reviews for 60 days; delete your account at any time by emailing hello@yesrateprof.com.
• Scholars can hide sections of their profile and require approval for family & friend contributions.
