Community guidelines
YesRateProf exists so students can learn from each other and so scholars are seen as whole people. These rules keep it useful and fair.
Write about what you experienced
- Describe the class, the workload, the feedback and what you learned — facts and your own opinion of them.
- No speculation about anyone’s private life, health, family or appearance.
- Serious allegations (harassment, misconduct) go to a human moderator first. Please also use your institution’s official channels.
One person, one voice
- One review per class you actually took. Reviews from many accounts or copied text are removed.
- You may re-post a review you wrote elsewhere — it’s your text — but only your own, and you must confirm you are the author.
- We never copy reviews from other websites.
Credibility, not identity
Reviews are anonymous by default. Verification (campus email, classmates, coursework or grade proof) only raises a review’s weight; it is never shown as your name. Proof files are seen only by a moderator and deleted as soon as they are checked.
Scholars’ right of reply
Scholars who claim their profile may reply publicly once to each review. They cannot edit or delete reviews; they can report reviews that break these rules.
Living wiki
- Every fact needs a source or a stated relation (student, colleague, family…).
- Additions from family and friends wait for the scholar’s or a moderator’s approval.
- Confirm what you know is right; dispute what you know is wrong — with a note.
