Assistant Professor and Department Chair, Department of Data Science, Seoul Women’s University, Seoul, Korea Dr. Yaeri Kim is an Assistant Professor and the Department Chair in the Department of Data Science at Seoul Women’s University in Seoul, Korea. She achieved her Ph.D. in Marketing from the Business School of Seoul National University. Before joining Seoul Women’s University, she held academic positions at Sejong University and Sejong Cyber University. As an early founding member of the Data Science Department, she has contributed significantly to curriculum development and the guidance of its first graduating cohort. Her interdisciplinary research bridges artificial intelligence, marketing, and consumer psychology, with particular interests in AI-human interaction, neuroforecasting, information privacy, and sustainability communication. She integrates experimental and neuroscience methodologies (e.g., EEG/ERP) with computational and large-language-model approaches to examine consumer behavior in human-AI hybrid contexts. Dr. Kim has published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Business Ethics (FT50), Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Journal of Cleaner Production, Telematics & Informatics, and Journal of Retailing & Consumer Services. She currently leads several collaborative projects, including an NRF Global Humanities & Social Convergence grant, an industry partnership with Pinkfong Company, and a robotics-related collaboration with Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). At Seoul Women’s University, Dr. Kim teaches courses such as Data Science Capstone Design, Data Visualization, Data Ethics, and Big Data-Based Marketing, emphasizing responsible AI, human-centered innovation, and data-driven problem solving.
