Dr. Subhasish Dasgupta is Chair of the Department, Program Director of the Master of Science program in Information Systems Technology and Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Information Systems and Technology Management department in the School of Business at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, U.S.A. Dr. Dasgupta received his B.S. in Physics, and MBA in Management Information Systems and Operations Research degrees from the University of Calcutta, India, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems degree from Baruch College, The City University of New York, U.S.A. Dr. Dasgupta’s research interests include acceptance, adoption and diffusion of technologies in organizations, cultural issues in information systems, global information systems, virtual communities and social media. He has published his research in journals such as Information & Management, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Global Information Management, and Journal of Information Systems Education. He has presented many papers at international, national, and regional conferences. His teaching interests include systems analysis and design, web development, and cloud applications development using LAMP. Dr. Dasgupta has also consulted for many organizations in the areas of software development and executive training. He is a certified scrum master (CSM), a SAFe Agilist, and an expert in software development, open source software, and cloud application development.
