Saeid Sadeghi is a Ph.D. candidate in Industrial Engineering – Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the School of Industrial Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST). He earned both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Azad University. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he spent nine years in industry, serving as a supply-chain specialist, market manager, and consultant. Saeid’s research centers on developing state-of-the-art models that address risk and sustainability in supply chains, with an emphasis on mitigating the economic impacts of extreme global events. His methodological toolbox spans machine-learning algorithms, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and emerging technologies such as blockchain and the Metaverse. He has published more than 15 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, including articles in the Journal of Cleaner Production and presentations at international venues such as the U.S. Decision Sciences Institute.
