About

Michael H. Birnbaum received his PhD degree from UCLA in 1972, and was a Postdoctoral Scholar at UCSD 1972-73. He was Assistant Professor at Kansas State University in 1973-74 and University of Illinois 1974-76. He was promoted to Associate and Full Professor at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1976 and 1982, respectively, where he also served as Head of the Quantitative-Industrial-Organizational Psychology Division. He moved to California State University, Fullerton in 1986, where he became Emeritus Professor in 2015. He was founder and Director of the Decision Research Center for 30 years.
