Maretno Agus Harjoto is a Professor of Finance at Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business. Dr. Harjoto received the 2009 Moskowitz Prize Award from the Center for Responsible Business, University of California Berkeley for his research on the Economics and Politics of Corporate Social Performance. His primary research focuses on corporate governance, board diversity, corporate social responsibility, and firms’ performance. He received the 2015-2017 Denney Chair Professorship and the 2011-2012 Julian Virtue Professorship. He has published over 30 refereed research papers in various journals, such as Journal of Business Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Business Ethics: The European Review, and Business & Professional Ethics Journal.
