About

Kendra Seaman is director of the Aging Well Lab in the Center for Vital Longevity at the University of Texas at Dallas. Her lab uses basic and translational scientific studies to promote health and well-being throughout adulthood. Her research examines the intersections of learning, motivation, and decision making across the adult life span using a variety of behavioral, modeling and neuroimaging techniques. Before earning her Ph.D. in Applied/Experimental Psychology at The Catholic University of America, she served as a Teach For America corps member, teaching science at Frick Middle School in Oakland, California, and as a teacher and department chair at KIPP DC: KEY Academy in Washington, DC.
