Eliezer M. Fich

Eliezer Fich is the Trustee Professor of Finance at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. Before joining Drexel in 2004, he was a member of the finance faculty at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2000 until 2004. Professor Fich obtained his doctoral degree, with honors, from the NYU Stern School of Business in 2000. He also earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Fu Foundation School of Engineering at Columbia University. Currently, Professor Fich is serving on the editorial board of the Journal of Corporate Finance and is a director of the Financial Research Association. At Drexel, Professor Fich teaches the core undergraduate and graduate course in Financial Management and advises PhD students. His award-wining research focuses on the shareholder wealth implications of corporate actions or events such as merger and acquisitions, executive compensation, and managerial turnover. Professor Fich also investigates the effect of different securities laws and court rulings on firm value. His work is published in top-tier academic journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, and the Journal of Business. He has delivered research talks in over one hundred different academic venues worldwide, either as an invited seminar speaker or as a conference presenter. Professor Fich’s work has garnered attention by the business press and has been profiled in articles published by The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and The Financial Times.
