D. Harrison McKnight is a Professor Emeritus in the Accounting and Information Systems Department of the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He received his PhD. in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota in 1997. He earned bachelors and MBA degrees from Brigham Young University. Dr. McKnight has served as an Associate Editor at Journal of Trust Research and MIS Quarterly. His research interests include trust in specific technologies, trust cognitions, the humanness of technology, and the role of trust in the Sharing Economy. His work has appeared in such journals as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and the Academy of Management Review. In 2010, he was named a Reviewer of the Year at MIS Quarterly.
